I Will Work to Protect Your Rights:
A Woman’s Right to Choose when and if to have children, is under attack, and I would support the Govenor’s call to amend the state constitution to protect abortion rights within Washington State’s borders.
Property Tax Rights and the ability to afford the home you purchase is also important and I will introduce legislation to increase neighborhood preservation, continuity, and stability by mandating a property tax rate of one percent per year and require that properties can only be assessed at market value at time of sale.
The Right to Vote and ensure that all votes are counted has been under attack federally and I would work to ensure that all Washingtonians votes are protected.
Protecting the Environment for future generations needs to be a priority. I will introduce legislation that encourage green industries, green jobs, and going green locally and at home with wind, solar and electric vehicles.
Statement:
I believe that it is our civic duty to serve our community and give back to our community. I will listen to all sides of an issue and work to do what is best for us all. I will always advocate for all personal freedoms, the rights of all individuals, for government financial accountability, avoiding unnecessary tax increases, supporting law enforcement, protecting and providing services for our communities to help them grow and prosper, protecting our environment, and for affordable healthcare.
About:
• Elected Experience. First time candidate, not a career politician.
• Other Professional Experience. I am an attorney and member of the state bar in good standing, local business owner and employer, for over 20 years. I have lived in Washington the majority of my life and have resided within the 31st district for over 20 years.
• Education. Albany Law School, JD, University of Washington, BA, Tacoma Community College, AA.
• Community Service. As a parent in our community, I volunteered as a girl scout troop leader, a boy scout den leader and co-leader and volunteered in public school.
